There’s some epic basketball to be played on Monday night. Arguably the biggest matchup of the evening comes in the form of a much-anticipated Elite Eight showdown between the LSU Tigers and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
While both teams have had a newsworthy run to emerge as one of just four teams left battling for the NCAA Women’s Basketball crown, there’s also no denying that the individual matchup between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark is the big draw on Monday’s spectacle.
LSU Tigers’ Angel Reese Goes Full Savage on Caitlin Clark
The mind games have gone back and forth between these two college superstars and apparently, Reese had one final bit of savagery right before tipoff. The Tigers forward decided to bring out a crown during warm-ups, which she placed on the LSU bench. Reese did so right in front of Clark, as the latter was warming up on the opposite side of the bench:

Talk about sending a message, right?
For those who need their memories refreshed, it was the Tigers who took down Clark and the Hawkeyes in last season’s final. Reese delivered one of the most savage parting shots at her adversary as LSU secured the title by pointing at her ring finger pretty much to Clark’s face.
It was a controversial bit of showmanship from the outspoken Tigers star, which has since taken a life of its own. Clark will obviously want to make amends on Monday night.
