Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic got a huge supporter in his father, Sasa Doncic, who openly and confidently expressed his faith in the Lakes making the championship this season.
One of the most common hopes with Luka Doncic joining LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers following the NBA trade deadline was that the Los Angeles team may now have better chances not only for the playoffs but ultimately, the season championship.
“I believe this team of [the] Los Angeles Lakers can do a lot,” Sasa Doncic said. “In those couple of games when some injured players came back (they showed) that they can beat anyone.”
Despite his faith in the roster, Sasa also acknowledges that a lot can happen in the playoffs that could turn the tables in favor or against anyone.
“But to be honest, the factor of luck in the playoffs is very important,” he added. “Some injuries can happen to an important player.”
“But I’m sure this team can go very far.”
The Los Angeles Lakers have seen a significant improvement in both performance and standings since acquiring Luka Doncic in a blockbuster trade earlier this season.
Doncic’s arrival has transformed the team’s offensive dynamics, addressing previous struggles with consistency and three-point shooting.

Since his debut on February 10, the Lakers have become one of the league’s top three-point shooting teams, attempting 42.3 threes per 100 possessions, a dramatic increase from their earlier average of 34.3. Doncic’s elite pick-and-roll skills and court vision have created open looks for teammates, making the Lakers’ offense more efficient and dynamic.

Kyrie Irving Got Hoenst About Feelings Over Luka Doncic Trade
Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving recently got honest in a livestream about his feelings about losing former teammate Luka Doncic in what was considered by many fans as the most shocking trade of the season. IN his stream, the called the trade “emotional” for him, and a lot of people.
“But bringing that s–t to life—and some of the things that were going on in Dallas, like the casket, the ‘Fire Nico’ chants, and these unfortunate situations where you’re attacking someone who’s just performing a function of the business—that was emotional,” Irving said.
“It was emotional for a lot of people, and it was emotional for me too. I ain’t gonna lie to you—I struggled a little bit the first few days.”
