Luka Doncic’s mother, Mirjam Poterbin, was a proud Slovenian on Saturday as she shared an Instagram reel showing off Domen Prevc’s world record ski jump. Prevc set a new world record in Planica for 835 ft. or 254.5 meters.
Doncic, a Slovenian just like his mother, is currently in the United States to play for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers. Doncic made his debut in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks back in 2018. The 26-year-old was originally selected by the Atlanta Hawks as the third overall pick in the very first round of the 2018 NBA draft. Doncic played with the Dallas Mavericks until recently, when his shocking trade to the Lakers shook the entire basketball world.
“New world record👏🙌.” Mirjam Poterbin, Luka Doncic’s mother, posted on her Instagram.
Luka Doncic was one of the best performers for the Dallas Mavericks during his time with the team. However, he has also managed to very soon create a name for himself with the Lakers in his short time with the team.
After Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James was out with an injury for some time, Doncic managed to take over the team’s offense and shine. In the ongoing NBA season, Luka Doncic is averaging 27.8 points in each game, grabbing 8.4 rebounds and assisting 7.8 times in every matchup.
