Mainstream media has become quite a political battlefield between Republican presidential candidate and former president Donald Trump and Democrat and incumbent vice president Kamala Harris, especially as the election is drawing near. One Democrat supporter, however, isn’t happy that the mainstream media seems to lean to the right these days.
Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks minority owner and head of basketball operations, recently spoke about politics on social media, specifically focusing on right-wing media.
The former “Shark Tank” star defended himself from a social media post that criticized him for his guest appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” where he said that the mainstream media is now right-wing these days, citing FOX as having the biggest TV news shows and Elon Musk being among the biggest right-wing influencers.
“I give a compliment to [the] right leaning media. You are now MSM (mainstream media). The biggest TV news shows are on FOX. The top 10 podcasts have a bunch of right-leaning shows,” Cuban said. “The biggest political influencer accounts on social media are … including you … conservative.”
Cuban then went on to call Musk the ultimate “Donald Trump Maxi.”
“He probably has five times the followers of all other political influencers combined. Conservative media is now the MSM. I know that makes it harder to play the victim. But that is the reality,” ended his X post.
Mark Cuban endorses Kamala Harris over Donald Trump
Mark Cuban has made it known these days that he is not keen on supporting former U.S. president Donald Trump’s election bid, instead choosing to endorse vice president Kamala Harris. The Dallas Mavericks minority owner cites Donald Trump’s politicking style that “made U.S. politics worse” as one of various reasons why.
In his guest appearance on “The Daily Show” last month, the 66-year-old businessman and TV personality shared to Jon Stewart his thoughts on Donald Trump, who seeks the presidential seat for the second time in November.
“Yeah, this is my country, right? Everybody else is bad. Donald good … I mean, he just brought hate and anger to politics, and that is his sales pitch,” Cuban told Stewart.
“Donald is a sales rep. He’s a sales person. He’s going to follow what works, and whatever—he’s going to try all kinds of different things. He’s going to talk to all kinds of different people. And he’ll try things out, and if it works, he’s going to do more of it, he added.”
