The Dallas Mavericks have had a historical past few weeks. Trading away Luka Doncic was not on many Dallas fans’ bingo card. Get a 31-year-old center in return was on even less people’s card.
Owner Mark Cuban has taken some pretty serious heat ever since the trade. Now it’s getting even worse.
Mavericks: Mark Cuban Goes After Own Fans Online (Report)

As a result of the Dallas Mavericks’ controversial trade of Luka Doncic, tensions have continued to rise:
During Monday’s game, two fans, Garrett Bussey and Chris Taylor, were ejected from the American Airlines Center after repeatedly chanting, “FIRE NICO!” in protest of the decision made by Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison.
Taylor expressed his frustration with the situation, insisting that he wasn’t disrupting the game. He claimed that he was merely voicing his discontent like any passionate fan.
“I wasn’t doing anything wrong,” he told Dallas Hoops Journal.
However, Maverick’s minority owner, Mark Cuban, saw things differently. When footage surfaced of him appearing to barking at the fans during the game, Cuban took to social media to clarify the situation. In a lengthy post on X, he explained that the scene in the arena was more complex than it seemed.
“That’s not what happened. There were thousands of fans booing the guy that was yelling. So it sounded like the fans were booing the players. They weren’t. They were booing at another fan,” Cuban wrote.
Here is Cuban’s full statement:

That’s not what happened.
There were thousands of fans booing the guy that was yelling. So it sounded like the fans were booing the players. They weren’t. They were booing at another fan. I was pissed. Not gonna lie. It was happening during our possessions. And happened during our FTs. I stood up to see who the fans were booing. It was this guy. As you can see from the video. I didn’t immediately say anything.
That’s because the one guy was screaming at me. I don’t know what he was saying but He was pissed. He was at least 60 yards away from me. So there was no point in yelling. But I made sure he could read my lips. My only goal was to get the guy to sit down so fans could focus on the game, instead of him, and support our Mavs.
The game was close and we didn’t need half the arena booing at this guy instead of cheering for the Mavs. When he shut up. The fans went back to normal. And let me add. He was screaming all game prior to the fans starting to boo him .
In fact, He screams all game EVERY game. Usually stupid shit. Sometimes clever shit. But he never shuts up and hasn’t all year. We didn’t kick him out then because other than being annoying , he didn’t disrupt other fans This time it impacted the game experience of other fans.
