There’s no doubt Slovenian guard Luka Doncic is on another level when it comes to talent on the court. The Dallas Mavericks star’s greatness is further validated after surpassing Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West to climb further regarding an NBA record.
Doncic led Dallas to a commanding 108-85 victory over the shorthanded Orlando Magic on Sunday. His performance was stellar, as he scored 32 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and dished out seven assists in just 32 minutes of play. The Mavs established control early, taking a 30-22 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 65-40 by halftime, thanks in part to a dominant 35-18 second quarter.
In the second half, Dallas continued to assert their dominance, pushing their lead to as much as 33 points. Notable contributions came from Daniel Gafford, who had a season-high 18 points, and Kyrie Irving, adding 17 points. Dereck Lively II also made a mark with a double-double, scoring 11 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
The Magic struggled throughout the game, particularly in their shooting, finishing with their lowest point total of the season. They shot just 33.3 percent from the field and a dismal 19.5 percent from three-point range. Franz Wagner led Orlando with 13 points, while Jett Howard contributed 12. The absence of All-Star forward Paolo Banchero due to injury was keenly felt, as the team fell to 0-2 in his absence.

The Mavs star has made headlines by breaking several NBA records, including becoming the youngest player to achieve a triple-double at just 19 years old. His career-high of 73 points last season showcased his incredible scoring ability, further solidifying his status as a superstar in the league.
Additionally, Doncic has consistently performed in clutch moments, setting records for most 30-point playoff games before turning 25. As he continues to evolve, the Mavs star is on track to redefine what it means to be an elite player in the NBA, especially after surpassing both the Greak Freak and the Logo in a game against Orlando.
