Anyone who watched The Last Dance knows how fascinating the journey has been for Michael Jordan‘s Chicago Bulls teams. They faced multiple great teams throughout their two three-peat runs while dealing with plenty of drama that could have broken any other team.

The biggest reason behind their success is their core players. Jordan and Scottie Pippen were the cornerstone duo that pushed the Bulls to their first three titles. Dennis Rodman eventually joined the squad in the mid-90s to secure the team’s second trio of NBA championships.

But while everyone and their mother understands how great these Bulls teams were, they also know how fractured the relationship is among the stars. Stories have surfaced about how broken the relationship between Jordan and Pippen is, with the former’s son being romantically involved with the latter’s ex-wife.

As if to add fuel to the fire, Rodman came forward to talk about how disconnected MJ was with the rest of the squad.

Rodman recently came forward to talk about how the relationship between him and the six-time NBA champion played out during his stint in the Windy City.

    Per The Spun’s Andrew Holleran:

“Well, I think it was important for me to go there and win,” Rodman said. “Me and Scottie, and Michael, never had a conversation in three years in Chicago.

“Only time we had a conversation is on the court. That was it. And nobody believes that.”

Jordan had a small crew of people he talked to off of the court and that was it.

“Only people I had a conversation with was probably Jud Buechler, Randy Brown, Steve Kerr, Luc Longley and other players.

“But me, Michael, and Scottie, we never had a conversation off the court.”

Long-time Bulls fans probably had a clue of how dysfunctional the trio’s relationships were, but this new information all but solidifies that the trio who put together such a legendary run never got along.

The fact that they won three championships together while not being the best of friends puts another level of awe to the achievement.
