Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis has been one of the most reliable role players in the NBA these past few seasons. After having a 71 overall rating in his rookie campaign in 2015-16, Portis’ rating has steadily improved.
Last season, Bobby Portis had his highest NBA 2K rating at 82 overall in NBA 2K24. However, the Arkansas product has fallen to an 80 overall rating in NBA 2K25, so he was understandably confused.
“Peeped the 2k rating @NBA2K @Ronnie2K lol no way I got worse…” Portis posted on his X (formerly known as Twitter).
He followed that one up with another post saying: “I KINDA LIKE WHEN THEY SLEEP ON ME THO #UNDERDOG”
Bobby Portis is coming off yet another solid campaign for the Milwaukee Bucks. In 2023-24, the 29-year-old played all 82 regular season games (four starts), averaging 13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists on 50.8 percent shooting overall and 40.7 shooting from three-point land.
With Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined in their first-round series against the Indiana Pacers, in which they were defeated in six games, Portis improved his averages to 16.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game on 48.4 percent shooting from the field.
Bobby Portis will remain a key member of the Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have revamped their roster this offseason by signing Gary Trent Jr., Taurean Prince, and Delon Wright to one-year deals, improving their overall shooting and defense.
Still, even with their new signings, Bobby Portis remains a vital cog for the Milwaukee Bucks frontcourt, especially if Giannis Antetokounmpo is not 100 percent fit.
Next season, Portis will earn roughly $12.6 million, and he has a $13.4 million player option for 2025-26. If he does well, not only will he see his NBA 2K25 rating improve, but he could command a higher payday next summer.
