Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard broke his silence after he suffered a torn left Achilles in their Game 4 defeat against the Indiana Pacers last Sunday.

The nine-time NBA All-Star, who sustained the injury while going for a loose ball in the first period, took it to Instagram to react to his setback, vowing to come back stronger for Milwaukee next season.
“Appreciate all the prayers and well wishes. This one really hurt… HIS way not MY way,” Lillard posted. “To Be Continued… 🙏🏽💪🏾”

Lillard missed Game 1 of the series but played in Games 2 to 4 after a speedy recovery from a deep vein thrombosis in his right calf. He only posted two rebounds and two assists in six minutes before leaving Game 4. Kevin Porter Jr. and AJ Green will have more playing time with Lillard sidelined.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Insider reveals Damian Lillard is in “good spirits” after Achilles tear
Renowned NBA insider Chris Haynes said that Damian Lillard is determined to “attack” his rehab this offseason.

“In speaking with Damian Lillard, he’s motivated on attacking his rehab and returning to form. He’s in good spirits,” Haynes said on his podcast.
Lillard’s injury is a major blow for the Milwaukee Bucks’ playoff hopes, especially since they’re on the brink of elimination. The team needs an otherworldly performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 5, but that might not be enough.
