The Milwaukee Bucks lost 115-114 to the Indiana Pacers last night, as Tyrese Haliburton converted a crazy four-point play with 3.4 seconds left.

The Indiana Pacers used an unconventional alignment during the fateful inbounds play. As Indiana’s players ran in different directions despite having the same starting point, Andrew Nembhard handed the ball to Tyrese Haliburton, who hit the off-balance three-pointer while drawing a foul on Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Haliburton hit the ensuing free throw, and the Indiana Pacers held on to beat the Milwaukee Bucks at home.

Seven Indiana Pacers recorded double-digit points in the nailbiting victory. Pascal Siakam had 25 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists on 10-for-15 shooting from the field. Bennedict Mathurin, Tyrese Haliburton, Myles Turner, Andrew Nembhard, TJ McConnell, and Thomas Bryant added 17, 14, 13, 12, 12, and 10 points.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Doc Rivers opens up on Tyrese Haliburton’s game-winning play
The Milwaukee Bucks looked disorganized before the Indiana Pacers ran their “football play,” and head coach Doc Rivers took the blame for not doing something about it, such as calling a timeout.

“We’ve seen (the Pacers’ alignment), we’ve worked on it,” Rivers said via The Athletic’s Eric Nehm. “We just lost him. That’s on us. I told our staff, ‘We gotta have our guys prepared better for that now.’ We were off the bodies. You could see us screaming before the play. We were in trouble before the play started. So, there was no thought (given to taking a timeout) because what if they do score (and then we don’t have a timeout).”
“There was no reason to switch and we just did. (Haliburton) was open the whole play and so there was miscommunication there and I always think that’s on me and my staff, not on our guys and we’ll have to figure it out because that’s a play that should never happen,” he added.
