Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo called out Tyrese Haliburton’s dad for unnecessarily adding salt to the wound after last night’s 119-118 Game 5 loss against the Indiana Pacers.

After the final buzzer sounded, Haliburton’s dad, John, raced onto the court to taunt Antetokounmpo by holding up a banner of his son’s picture and saying some choice words, which irked the two-time league MVP.
“I believe in being humble in victory,” Antetokounmpo said via ESPN’s Jamal Collier. “A lot of people out there that are like, no, when you win the game, you talk s*** and it’s a green light for you to be disrespectful towards somebody else. I disagree.”

“Losing the game, emotions run high. Having a fan — which at the moment I thought it was a fan, but then I realized it was Tyrese’s dad. Which I love Tyrese. I think he’s a great competitor,” he continued. “His dad coming on the floor and showing me his son — a towel with his face on (it), (saying) ‘This is what we do. We do this.’ I feel like that’s very, very disrespectful.”
Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo shares terse response about the team’s championship window
Giannis Antetokounmpo did all he could to keep the Milwaukee Bucks alive against the Indiana Pacers in the first round. The Greek Freak posted 30 points, 20 rebounds, 13 assists, two steals, and two blocks on 9-for-17 shooting from the field, but it wasn’t enough, especially since he didn’t have Damian Lillard by his side.

With Lillard out indefinitely due to a torn Achilles, there will be questions about Antetokounmpo’s future in Milwaukee, and the one-time NBA champion spoke about it after the match.
“I’m not going to do this,” Antetokounmpo said via Scott Grodsky. “Whatever I say it’s not going to translate. I wish I was still playing. I wish I was still competing and heading back to Milwaukee. So I don’t know.”
