Damian Lillard, the most recent player to breach the 20,000-point threshold before Antetokounmpo, led the Milwaukee Bucks with 34 points, three rebounds, five assists, two steals, and five three-pointers on 11-for-15 shooting from the field and 7-for-7 from the free throw line.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Giannis Antetokounmpo reflects on his latest milestone
Giannis Antetokounmpo has come a long way since joining the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013. After scoring just 525 points in his rookie season, Antetokounmpo became the sixth-youngest player in league history to notch 20,000 career points (30 years, 89 days).

“I feel like before I came to the NBA, I had to be locked (in),” Antetokounmpo said via Dylan Hunter Carter of 620 WTMJ. “When I came to the NBA, I looked around me and said the only way I can make it in this league is by working hard and I have to show up every single day. I had conversations with great players, and they told me that the best players –the greats – never get bored.”
“And as I worked, I got to a point that I realized what separates me from the other players around me and the people that played the game is my heart, my spirit, my work ethic, and how disciplined I am,” he added.
