Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards didn’t play in his third All-Star game on Sunday. According to The Athletic’s Tim Reynolds, the star player dealt with a groin injury that kept him out of the game for Kenny Smith’s All-Star team, “Kenny’s Young Stars.”
Even with the confirmation from Edwards himself, former NBA player Chandler Parsons wasn’t convinced about his injury. On Monday’s episode of FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” Parsons criticized the Wolves star for missing out on the main event.

“I have just as much beef with him, I think it’s a selfish move,” Parsons said. “But I also dont think he was hurt leading up to it. LeBron James was on the injury report leading up to the All-Star game. He knew there was a possibility he wasn’t going to play. I deada** just think Edwards was hungover and couldn’t do it. I don’t think he was hurt leading up to the game.
Parsons also claimed that there have been plenty of other reports about why Edwards couldn’t play on Sunday, making it hard to believe which is true. The former Dallas Mavericks forward went as far as to accuse the youngster of being hungover, which ruled him out.
However, his co-host, Lou Williams, said that Edwards’ absence didn’t matter since the entire weekend wasn’t entertaining.
“Why does it matter? We all hated the weekend. Who cares who missed it?” Williams chimed in.
Anthony Edwards is just guilty as LeBron, but who cares? 🗣️

The star guard is hoping that his groin injury won’t be an issue moving forward with the Wolves’ season.
Anthony Edwards had high praise for how Stephen Curry welcomed the All-Stars

The Golden State Warriors hosted the whole 74th NBA All-Star weekend. As hosts, the organization welcomed the guests, players and other attendees. One of the most significant forms of welcome was from Warriors star Stephen Curry. According to Anthony Edwards, the way Curry welcomed the stars in San Francisco is unmatched.
“He’s been great man. I don’t know if he did this for everybody but I’m pretty sure he did, but he had like gifts for you in the room when you walked in, he welcomed you to San Francisco,” Edwards said. “Everybody knows how Curry is man he’s a loving person man he’s super cool, super laid back for sure.”

Not only was Curry a great host, but he also put on a show for Shaquille O’Neal’s All-Star team, “Shaq’s OGs.” The four-time champion had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the final round of the mini-tournament and earned the All-Star Game MVP.
