Julius Randle was instrumental in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ 117-93 Game 2 victory over the Golden State Warriors last night.
After recording 18 points, three rebounds, and six assists on 4-for-11 shooting from the field in Game 1, Randle kicked things up a notch in Game 2 with 24 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists on 10-for-17 shooting from the field.
According to Statmuse, Randle became the first Minnesota Timberwolves player since Kevin Garnett in 2004 to have at least 20 points, five rebounds, and 10 assists in a playoff game.
Randle was not the only Minnesota player who showed up in Game 2. Anthony Edwards, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Jaden McDaniels, and Naz Reid added 20, 20, 16, and 11 points.

Minnesota Timberwolves fans collectively held their breath when Anthony Edwards hurt his left ankle after Trayce Jackson-Davis inadvertently landed on it midway through the second quarter. Edwards drew a standing ovation from the crowd when he played through pain.
“He’s one of the more resilient people that I know. Nothing holds him down. He never misses games. For as much attention and effort teams do to try to stop him, he’s never one to sit out a game. I don’t know, he’s like Ironman,” Randle said about Edwards via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
“I’ve seen him get hit, get knocked down so many times. Better off, he’s like Wolverine. He gets hurt and he does something in the back. I don’t know what the hell he does, but he comes out and he balls. That’s what he does,” he added.
