Anthony Edwards just wasn’t going to let the Minnesota Timberwolves lose on Tuesday night. Their season was on the line and they were on the verge of an embarrassing sweep at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks.
Edwards knew what was at stake and so he delivered for his team when it mattered most. The 22-year-old busted out with a game-high 29 points on 11-of-25 shooting, to go along with 10 rebounds, nine assists, and two triples as he led Minnesota to a season-saving 105-100 victory in Game 4.
Minnesota Timberwolves News: Anthony Edwards Saves the Day
Mavs superstar Luka Doncic had nothing but praise for Edwards after watching the Timberwolves guard lead his team to a crucial victory on Tuesday night. Doncic wasn’t bad himself, finishing with an amazing 28-point, 15-rebound, 10-assist triple-double. It just wasn’t enough, though.
“He’s an amazing player so he’s gonna play great,” Doncic said of Edwards, via Mavs reporter Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints.

Kyrie Irving Heaps Praise on Anthony Edwards
Even Luka’s backcourt partner, Kyrie Irving, had to acknowledge Edwards’ strong play in Game 4. Irving sounded off on the young star’s elite mindset — one that has been an integral part of the Western Conference Finals narrative:
“He’s been pretty consistent,” Irving said. “… Having that no fear mentality like I talked about. He’s very confident in himself.”

It’s nice to hear Luka and Kyrie giving Edwards his flowers. You can be sure, however, that they will both do everything in their power to take out Edwards and Co. come Game 5 on Thursday.
