Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves have done it. After being down by as much as 20 points in Game 7 on the road, the Wolves clawed their way all the way back to secure a sensational come-from-behind victory against the defending champs Denver Nuggets on Sunday night.
For the first time in 20 years, Minnesota is headed to the Western Conference Finals where they will face off against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
Minnesota Timberwolves News: Anthony Edwards Sounds Off on Jamal Murray Matchup

As they always say, there’s no rest for the wicked. This is exactly the case for Edwards, who will now match up against Doncic after going through Nuggets superstar Jamal Murray. Naturally, after hammering down the final nail in Denver’s coffin, Edwards just had to send a fiery message aimed at Murray:

According to Edwards, he “had Jamal in handcuffs” in this one. If you look at the box score, you might not be sure what exactly the Wolves guard is talking about here. After all, Murray did go off for a game-high 35 points on 13-of-27 shooting.

Murray, however, was unable to make his presence felt when it mattered the most. The Timberwolves mounted a massive comeback in Game 7, and Murray was pretty much a non-factor in the latter part of the second half.
Murray did score 11 of his 35 points after the break, but he did go 5-of-12 in the second half as Edwards locked him up. The outspoken Minnesota superstar just had to let Murray know after the game what was up.
