Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards reached some insane heights this past season, which incidentally, was just his fourth year in the NBA.
At this point, it appears that the 22-year-old is going even higher — with the help of none other than LeBron James.
Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards to Star in Netflix Show
NBA guru Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on Monday that Edwards is going to star in an upcoming show that will be streamed on Netflix in the coming months:
“Timberwolves All-NBA guard Anthony Edwards is apparently a major star of the new NBA show on Netflix set to release in the fall, according to industry sources,” Shams reported.
Unfortunately, there aren’t too many details about the show other than the fact that Edwards is “expected to be the breakaway act” of the series, which also features LeBron, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, and Domantas Sabonis.
That’s not the only contribution LeBron will have on the show, though. In fact, it was the Lakers talisman’s own media company that produced the show along with some high-profile production houses:
“James’ SpringHill Company led the production of the series along with Barack Obama’s Higher Ground Productions and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions. The show is modeled after Netflix’s NFL ‘Quarterback’ series,” read the reports.
That’s a pretty star-studded crew behind the scenes and with Edwards at the forefront, you just know that this show is destined for success.
