Right now, Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards is in Las Vegas for the Team USA training camp. The 22-year-old is part of a star-studded group that will be heading to Paris with the objective of bringing home an Olympic gold medal.
If you think that being around the top players in the NBA today would be a humbling experience for Edwards then you’re absolutely wrong.
Minnesota Timberwolves News: Anthony Edwards Unfazed by Team USA Star Power
In Edwards’ mind, there is no bigger superstar on the Team USA roster than himself. So much so, that the Timberwolves guard has come out to say that it would be the rest of the team’s responsibility to adjust to him and not the other way around:
“I’m still the number one option,” he said. “Y’all might look at it differently. I don’t look at it any different. … They’ve got to fit in and play around me. That’s how I feel.”

As cocky as it may sound, Edwards isn’t at all kidding here. This is how much self-belief this young man has. He clearly isn’t fazed by the fact that he’s teaming up with the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, to name a few.
Edwards is adamant that he is the best player on the roster. This is the 6-foot-4 shooting guard’s firm belief regardless of what team he may be in.
The best part about it is that he’s able to back this all up with his game. In fact, he might actually be right.
