Minnesota Timberwolves’ Naz Reid speaks up after Game 5 loss to the Mavericks

It looked as though the Timberwolves ran out of gas and did not have any left after ensuring they wouldn’t get swept by Dallas by taking Game 4. In Game 5, the Mavericks started out like a house on fire and did not look back. The Timberwolves made some runs but those were all extinguished right away by Luka Doncic and the Mavs, who will now have to prepare for the Boston Celtics.
After Game 5, Timberwolves big man and 2024 Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid lamented how things ended for his team.
“I wish we didn’t go out like that,” Reid said (via Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic).

Despite their failure to overcome the Mavericks, it was still a memorable ride for the Timberwolves. Their fans can still appreciate the season Minnesota just had. Until this season, the Timberwolves had not been to the Western Conference Finals since 2004 when Kevin Garnett was still Minnesota’s face.
