Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns made headlines for all the wrong reasons after Sunday’s atrocious shooting performance in their Game 3 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. KAT laid a goose egg from beyond the arc after missing all eight of his 3-point attempts on Sunday night.
Unfortunately for Towns, his historic shooting slump has become the talk of the town.
Minnesota Timberwolves News: Chris Finch Reacts to Karl-Anthony Towns’ Poor Shooting

Over the first three games of the Western Conference Finals, Towns has recorded a shooting mark of 27.8 percent, which is “the fourth-worst field goal percentage by any player through the first three games of a conference or divisional finals in the shot clock era, according to ESPN Stats & Information data (h/t Dave McMenamin of ESPN).
This undesirable turn of events has drawn a brutally honest reaction from Wolves head coach Chris Finch:
“He struggled, of course,” Finch said after Towns, who was benched for nearly the final nine minutes of Game 3, via ESPN. “It was hard to watch at times.”

The silver lining here, I guess, is that there’s nowhere to go but up for Towns. The bad news, however, is that the Wolves are now just one loss away from seeing their season come to a bitter end in the form of an embarrassing 4-0 sweep against Luka Doncic and the Mavs.
