While the NBA Finals are still to be played, the 2024 NBA Draft is fast approaching. NBA teams who aren’t participating are already zeroed in on finding the right prospect that could inject energy and talent to their respective teams.
Plenty of talented players are in this year’s draft, but none are as polarizing as Bronny James. His lone collegiate season doesn’t induce plenty of confidence for teams who might have been interested in getting LeBron James’ son.

However, it’s clear to fans that he will join an NBA team by the end of June. The fact that mock drafts have him going in the second round is proof that teams see potential in King James’ eldest as an NBA player.
Due to LeBron’s presence, it’s understandable that many NBA Draft rumors pin Bronny to the Los Angeles Lakers. While nothing’s sure when it comes to his final destination, one team is reportedly willing to make room to help Bronny team up with his father.
The New Orleans Pelicans might allow the Los Angeles Lakers to pick Bronny James in the 2024 NBA Draft

Adrian Wojnarowski believes that the New Orleans Pelicans will allow the Los Angeles Lakers to get the opportunity to draft LeBron’s eldest son by deferring their first-round pick in this year’s draft, as reported by The Spun’s Kameron Duncan.
Duncan further details the complications that surround James’ current situation in the Draft:
James has only accepted workouts with two teams in the draft process, the Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.
Barring a trade, the Suns are currently picking at No. 22 overall, and the Lakers could leap them to select the son of their star player.
It’s clear to everyone that the Lakers would likely be reaching to get Bronny James in the first round. His lone season as a USC Trojan saw him perform poorly. It will be up to the young man to make the most of his opportunity once he does get into the league.
