Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and the NBA Finals are two subjects intertwined with each other. Jordan, of course, never lost in the six times he appeared in the NBA Finals. His second trip to that playoff round happened 32 years ago when he led the Bulls to a series win against Clyde Drexler and the Portland Trail Blazers.
Jordan was not going to lose that series. He put up a staggering performance in Game 1 against the Blazers, one that no one before or after him has ever matched.

Can someone from the Celtics or Mavericks match Jordan’s feat in the 2024 NBA Finals?
If one has to pick a player who’s the best bet to duplicate those numbers from Jordan, it’s likely going to be Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, who has been a statistical machine in the playoffs. Through the 2024 NBA postseason, Doncic is averaging 28.8 points, 8.8 assists, and 3.4 3-pointers per outing.
Over at Boston, Jayson Tatum could be the guy to do it, as he is recording 26.0 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.1 3-pointers per contest in the playoffs.
Outside of Doncic and Tatum, players like Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, and Derrick White appear to have some potential to pull off a Jordanesque stat line in the NBA Finals.
