Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics stopped their bleeding on Sunday night, as they prevented a three-game skid by taking down Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in a 110-103 win at TD Garden in Beantown.
Brown led the Celtics in scoring, finishing with 22 points. Although he shot just 6-for-15 from the floor, he was 8-for-9 from the free throw line and added eight assists, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a complete day for the former NBA Finals Most Valuable Player.
Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown productive despite knee issue

As his stats in the game suggest, Brown was busy on both ends of the floor versus the Nuggets, which meant he also tried to slow down Denver star point guard Jamal Murray even though he’s being bothered by his lingering knee issue.

Jaylen Brown asked by @JackSimoneNBA about going at guards like Jamal Murray:
“My knee’s been bothering me a little bit. But anytime I get two feet in the green and I can just rise up, I think I’m one of the best in the game.”

As his stats suggest, Brown was busy on both ends of the floor versus the Nuggets, which meant he also tried to slow down Denver star point guard Jamal Murray even though he’s being bothered by his lingering knee issue. On the season, Brown is averaging 23.2 points, 6,0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
The win over the Nuggets also prevented Boston from further slipping away in the race to the top of the Eastern Conference amid a hot streak by the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have won 10 games in a row and own the top spot in the East with a 50-10 record. The Celtics, second in the conference with a 43-18 slate, will have two days of rest before getting back to it on Wednesday when the Portland Trail Blazers come to town.
