Soon, superstar forward LeBron James will get to play with Bronny on the court to become the NBA’s first active father-and-son duo. Meanwhile, former All-Star Carmelo Anthony and his son Kiyan had a hilarious online exchange about whether they can win against the two Los Angeles Lakers stars.
The NBA is set to witness a historic moment as LeBron James and Bronny are poised to play together for the Lakers starting next season. Just recently, Los Angeles selected the younger James with the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and signed him to a four-year deal, coinciding with the team’s decision to re-sign the four-time MVP to a two-year, $104 million contract.

As a 20-time All-Star and four-time NBA champion, LeBron is undoubtedly a legend of the game. In the 2023-24 season, he averaged an impressive 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds for the Lakers. Meanwhile, Bronny had a more modest role during his freshman year at USC, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
The transition to the NBA may be challenging for the 19-year-old Bronny, but with his father by his side, he will have the benefit of familiarity and guidance as he embarks on his professional career. This historic moment is a testament to the James family’s dedication and passion for the game, and it is sure to captivate basketball fans around the world.
Former NBA Star Carmelo Anthony Drops Hilarious Reaction To Son’s LeBron-Bronny Pick

Early in the 2000s, James was pitted against Anthony to see who was the better player back then. Now, the latter is seemingly retired from the league while his son is about to play college basketball soon. Just recently, Anthony reacted to video of Kiyan revealing if they could win in a pickup game against LeBron and Bronny, which he shared on his official X account.

— Carmelo Anthony (@carmeloanthony) July 8, 2024
Over the course of his 19-year run in the NBA, Anthony averaged 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. Kiyan, on the other hand, is slowly following his father’s footsteps to become a professional basketball player.

At this point in time, pitting the two pairs won’t be possible at all. Hopefully, a pickup game can be scheduled in the future to determine the true winner.
