Just recently, USA Today’s Dan Wolken found himself being criticized for his remarks about Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark and the decision not to include her in the Olympics. He’s being roasted again due to his comments about LeBron James’ participation in the Olympics.
A few days ago, Wolken questioned why Team USA left Clark out of the roster for the 2024 Olympics. The USA Today writer said that there’s only one opportunity per four years to present the sport to a global audience, making it absurd to leave the Fever rookie out of the roster.

Over the course of 12 games this season, Clark is averaging 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.5 assists per contest. She’s also shooting 37 percent from the field, 32 percent from beyond the arc, and 89 percent from the free throw line.
As it stands, the roster will include A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, Alyssa Thomas, Napheesa Collier, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Sabrina Ionescu, Chelsea Gray and Kahleah Copper. This iteration of Team USA is expected to win the gold, something the women’s team has done since 1996.
USA Today’s Dan Wolken Grilled Over Controversial Remarks About NBA Star LeBron James’ Participation in the Olympics

Apart from her thoughts on Clark and the Women’s team, Wolken also aired his perspective on the Los Angeles Lakers star. In a tweet he posted on X, the reporter wondered what James will bring to the table.
“Is LeBron in 2024 one of the 12 American basketball players best equipped to bring home a gold medal?” Wolken tweeted.
Wolken’s thoughts on the matter has generated a flood of replies on social media on what the King can do in the Olympics. Ultimately, the need for a leader helps the entire team be more accountable, especially on the global stage with a collection of proven stars in the NBA.

James nor Clark haven’t responded in any way to Wolken’s tweets. Nevertheless, it looks like the respective fanbases of each star have done that job online.
