There is big drama in the NFL offseason (just like always in the NBA) and it’s one that concerns San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. On Monday, StatMuse’s X (formerly Twitter) account posted a question asking their followers about which National Basketbakll Association player is Aiyuk’s equivalent.
At least one X user said that Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard is Aiyuk’s counterpart in the NBA, considering the drama Lillard caused last year when he was rumored to be going to a number of teams, including the Miami Heat after asking for a trade. He was ultimately sent by the Portland Trail Blazers in a three-team swap that also involved the Phoenix Suns.

Another said that new New Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray is the Brandin Aiyuk in the National Basketball Association. It can be recalled that Murray had his name in seemingly endless trade rumors before he was traded by the Atlanta Hawks to the Pelicans.

Someone raised Denver Nuggets star point guard Jamal Murray’s name but for a reason related more to his play on the court.
“Jamal Murray. He’s incredibly good but gets outshined by CMC and Deebo, just like Nikola Jokic outshines Murray.”

Here’s another intriguing take, which mentions New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, who left the Dallas Mavericks via free agency. Aiyuk, however, isn’t a free agent.
