NBA news: In case you didn’t know, Hall of Fame point guard Gary Payton was an absolute beast on the basketball court during his playing days. This was because of his elite skills as one of the best guards in NBA history, as well as his unbridled trash-talking prowess.
These days, the 56-year-old serves as the head coach of Bivouac in the Big 3 League, and Payton’s trademark ferociousness has not waned one bit.
NBA News: Heated Big 3 Confrontation Involving Gary Payton

On Sunday, Payton’s team took on Enemies, which had former NBA journeyman Jordan Crawford as one of the players on its roster. In the video below, you can clearly see Payton talking smack toward Crawford throughout the contest.
After hitting a big trey, Crawford just had to clap back at the former NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Things quickly escalated after the two were involved in a heated confrontation.

Payton is one of the toughest dudes you’ll ever meet and there was no way he was backing down in this incident.
To be fair, it was actually Crawford who first got physical when he shoved Payton after the pair went face to face. Then again, Payton was clapping his hands right in front of his face, so you can’t really blame the former New Orleans Pelicans guard for reacting the way he did.

After an intense shoving and shouting match that involved Payton and multiple players on the opposing team, cooler heads eventually prevailed and the game was able to continue without (much) incident.
Unfortunately for Payton, Enemies ultimately handed Bivouac their first loss of the season. After a heated battle, it was Enemies that prevailed, 50-46.
