The trade rumors regarding Phoenix Suns shooting guard Bradley Beal have been ramping up. One of the teams Beal has been linked to is the Miami Heat, a team fostering a disgruntled star in Jimmy Butler. With the Suns’ season turning into a disaster, the team looks to make a change and improve their 15-18 record in the 2024-25 NBA season.
However, trading the three-time All-Star isn’t an easy task. Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, which means he can waive trades that aren’t in his favor. Luckily for the Suns, the guard is willing to waive his contract clause with some teams, so there may still be a chance he might be sent away from Phoenix.
According to NBA Insider John Gambadoro, the Suns’ guard is open to waiving the clause for the Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and Nuggets. Gambadoro revealed that there’s a chance Beal will be open to getting traded to other teams.
“As for Beal the no-trade looms large. He could have went to Milwaukee before he ended up in Phoenix but that was turned down. Have heard he would waive no trade for LA, Miami, Denver but I do believe there are a few others that he could ultimately decide work for him,” Gambadoro wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Beal’s performance in his second season with the Suns has been mediocre. He’s slightly averaging fewer points than last season while his time on the floor remains identical. The former Washington Wizards star is averaging 17.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 33.3 minutes.
Bradley Beal could end up with the Heat for Butler
The Suns and the Heat are both hoping to do better this year. Phoenix and Miami have underperformed, leading to the clubs getting involved in trade rumors. Despite the coaching change over the summer, the Bradley Beal experiment has not succeeded for the Arizona-based franchise.
On the other hand, Florida’s players have become weary of the team. As a result, Butler has demanded a trade out of Miami. The Suns are among the teams connected to the six-time All-Star.
However, the franchise can only trade Beal, the only available asset. Unfortunately for the team, Phoenix lacks draft capital that could intrigue the Heat in a potential trade.
Beal will have a fresh start with the Heat under head coach Erik Spoelstra. Additionally, he’ll only get to share the ball with one scoring star Tyler Herro.
