Former NBA star Kendrick Perkins clapped back at TNT analyst Charles Barkley for his recent comments about him. Perkins took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out one of the four hosts of “Inside the NBA.” Their new beef started when the former member of the Boston Celtics talked about his opinion about the new-look Los Angeles Lakers team.
Perkins has been impressed with how the Lakers have changed their season after they acquired All-Star Luka Doncic. The team is now second in the Western Conference with a 39-21 record. They had a significant jump when they traded away Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks.

This led Perk to say that the Lakers saved the NBA. His comments were addressed toward the viewership problem the league has faced this season. However, Barkley called him out during one of the episodes of the hitTNT show.
Unfortunately for Barkley, the 6-foot-10 former center didn’t back down and called him out on social media.
“Hey @NBAonTNT might wanna tell that senior citizen Charles Barkley that I’ll be around. When he see an idiot or fool in person make sure he keep that same energy. He can come playing with me if he want to and imma Address his ass like the numbers on a house. Straight from the 409 homeboy and we bar none and fade all. #TexasBoy” Perkins posted.

Kendrick Perkins and Charles Barkley have often clashed with their opinions and inability to back off a challenge.
What did Barkley say to Kendrick Perkins?

Barkley has grown tired of Kendrick Perkins and ESPN’s coverage of the Lakers. During a TNT pregame show featuring a game between the Los Angeles team and the New York Knicks, the former All-Star went on a rant about how much attention the team has received.
During his rant, he took a shot at Perkins.
“First of all the Lakers are having a great two weeks. He said the Lakers saved the NBA season. That’s all them fools on the other network—which we going to be working for next year— that’s all they talk about. Let me tell ya’ll something. First of all, I want all the smoke. I don’t whistle when I walk by the grave yard or anything like that. Hey man, the Lakers are doing great. Got a long way to go, but the reason… the season’s been going great for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Oklahoma City Thunder,” Barkley said.

“Between that and this lame-ass LeBron-Michael Jordan debate, which is lame. I’ve said for years, the only people who talk about LeBron and Michael is people on television who got no talent to talk about anything else.”
