Dallas Mavericks fans are still picking up the pieces over a month since the shocking trade of Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. But they have another situation to deal with, this time regarding ticket prices for Mavs games, which reportedly will increase by nearly nine percent, according to WFAA.
The average overall price increase will be 8.61%, according to a press release from the Dallas Mavericks. The increases reflect ongoing investments in team and fan engagement, the team said in a statement.
The Mavs’ decision to raise the ticket prices for the 2025-26 NBA season is driven by the franchise’s commitment to “delivering the best live game experience in the NBA,” (h/t Front Office Sports).
“The Dallas Mavericks remain fully dedicated to delivering the best live game experience in the NBA, and as part of that commitment, ticket pricing adjustments for the 2025-2026 season will reflect ongoing investments in the team and fan engagement,” a representative for the Mavericks tells Front Office Sports.

Fans rip Dallas Mavericks for decision to raise ticket prices

As expected, the announcement did not sit well with fans. Here are some of the reactions to it from commenters on a social media post by Yahoo Sports.
“‘Fan engagement’ – the owners need a remedial class on what that means.”
“You guys saved 350 mil by trading Luka. What do you need more money for? 😂😂”
“Tell me this isn’t all part of a plan to drive down attendance and move the team. They’re literally the owners from major league”
“Goodness, Adam Silver do something!”
“@dallasmavs are you trying to ruin your whole fan base here. Wowzzz”
“Yeah ain’t no point going to watch this franchise…no shade to the players though. The ownership is full of 💩”
