Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers suddenly can’t stop winning. They are now on a six-game undefeated run after victimizing the Los Angeles Clippers at home for the second time in a row, with the Lakers defeating them again on Sunday night via a score of 108-102.
Doncic showed he is rounding into form as he continues to settle in with his new team, with the Slovenian superstar scoring 29 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the field. Until Sunday, Doncic had not shot better than 46 percent from the floor since he was traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Lakers.
Following the game, Doncic implied that getting comfortable on offense as a Laker bears lesser importance to him than the fact that his team is winning.

Luka Doncic says he’s feeling “a little more comfortable” offensively, but the most important thing is that the #Lakers keep winning.
Luka Doncic showing big signs of improvement with the Lakers

Doncic’s performance on Sunday helped the Lakers overcome a rare inefficient night from LeBron James, who shot just 6-for-17 for 17 points. The Lakers should only get better once Doncic and James consistently perform at their usual elite levels at the same time.
So far in his stint with the Lakers, who acquired Doncic via a three-team traded last February that also involved the Utah Jazz, the five-time NBA All-Star is putting up 22.0 points on 39.2 percent shooting from the floor. Doncic is also knocking down only 27.1 percent of his 3-point attempts, but those numbers should normalize and get closer to the mean as he continues to improve his play.
