NBA news: More than a few fans were saddened when reports came out about the highly popular TNT program Inside the NBA potentially entering its final season in 2024-25. This is after the league announced its intention to accept offers from other companies for the media coverage of the NBA beyond the upcoming season.
Well, it now appears that Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson, and Kenny Smith are going to remain on air after TNT made a massive announcement on Monday.
NBA News: TNT Matches Amazon’s Bid

In an official press release issued on Monday, the network announced its intention to match Amazon’s reported bid of $1.9 billion for the right to cover NBA games. Below is an expert from the said statement.
“We have reviewed the offers and matched one of them. This will allow fans to keep enjoying our unparalleled coverage, including the best live game productions in the inudstry and our iconic shows and talents, while building on our proven 40-year commitment for many ore years.
”Our macthing paperwork was submitted to the league today. We look forward to the NBA executing our new contract.”

While there was no direct mention of the show, it is clear that the network was referring to Inside the NBA when it said its “iconic shows and talents.” This program has emerged as one of the most well-loved NBA shows around, which is exactly why fans have been ecstatic after learning about this massive turn of events.
The ball is now in the NBA’s court, but it should only be a matter of time before the renewed deal with TNT is made official.
