Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox trade speculations got reignited anew following the sudden firing of team head coach Mike Brown. As new buzz goes around the rumor mill, insiders suggest that Fox may be considering a few times to negotiate trade with, including the Los Angeles Lakers.
NBA insider Tim McMahon reported that should Fox ask out of the Kings before the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers may be one of the tops on the top of his list of considerations.
“If Fox asks out, teams like San Antonio and Houston are the ones to watch,” MacMahon mentioned on The Hoop Collective podcast. “I’ve also heard rumors about the Lakers, but it’s hard to tell how much of that is just speculation because he’s a Klutch client. There’s also been talks about Miami, given his connection to Bam Adebayo.”

A potential trade to the Lakers sounds likely and may prove to be easier than normal, as De’Aaron Fox currently shares the same agent with LeBron James, Klutch Sports’ CEO Rich Paul. After all, it won’t be the first time that LeBron would wind up being on the same team as a Klutch-handled player—with Anthony Davis being one of the most recent big names.

De’Aaron Fox on Recent Kings Loss: “We Just Got to Finish Games Better”
Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox following their disappointing loss to the Detroit Pistons, expressed his honest feelings about his team losing game after game recently, attributing it to the team simply “not doing a good job.”
“We just gotta be able to finish games better [and] know where the shots are coming from and we have to be able to get stops,” Fox said. “I think everything that could’ve gone wrong in the fourth quarter did. Like I said, we gave ourselves a chance going into the fourth, and we just didn’t do a good job of it.”
With the issue of head coach Mike Brown getting fired, speculations of how De’Aaron’s name may be involved in the decision sparked conversations, especially since Brown made direct and indirect references to Fox criticizing how he played in their recent game.

One NBA insider suggested that the decision with Brown may be part of a strategy to keep Fox long-term with the team, as well as pressure coming from his agent.
