The Golden State Warriors may be pushing to revamp their roster to bounce back from a rather mediocre season they are having right now. With that said, three names who are reportedly part of trade considerations of the Warriors have surfaced from the rumor mill.
According to new trade rumors, the Warriors may be open to trading power forward Jonathan Kuminga, shooting guard Moses Moody, and guard Braqndin Podziemski. While not specified, this is expected to still be connected to previously rumored trade strategy of the Warriors and their hunt for a “star.”
REPORT: The Warriors have been ‘ramping up’ their activities on the trade market, per @BrettSiegelNBA.

Kuminga currently averages 15 points per game, and has played 21 games so far. Moody has played 20 games, and has an average of 7.4 points per game. Podziemski has played more at 23 games, and averages 7.7 points per game.
With that said, a separate report gave a long list of names that the Warriors may be scouting for. The list is a mix of veteran players and younger ones, too.
“The Warriors adding two or three key secondary talents before the trade deadline after just trading for Schroder is not out of the question,” insider Brett Sigele said. “Cameron Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Kyle Kuzma, Nikola Vucevic, Jonas Valanciunas, Bruce Brown, Donte DiVincenzo, Matisse Thybulle, and De’Andre Hunter are all players that have been on Golden State’s radar in recent weeks, sources said.”
Golden State Warriors on Hunt for a “Star”
For such a long time, star player Stephen Curry has carried the Golden State Warriors in terms of scoring. This season, Curry averages 22.8 points per game and while that may look like impressive numbers on its own, a closer look at the average score of the next top scorers of the Warriors paint a picture of the team.
Next to Curry is Andrew Wiggins, who averages 17.2 points per game. Next is Jonathan Kuminga at 15.2 points per game. With this, it is understandable that the Warriors are looking for “a star” that they could build around Steph Curry as an added offensive force, especially when Curry is off the court.
In the past weeks, the Golden State Warriors acquired point guard Dennis Schroder through a massive trade deal. The Warriors let go of De’Anthony Melton, who has been out due to an injury for most of the 2024-2025 season. This allowed them to acquire a new player to add scoring depth to their roster without sacrificing any part of their key rotation names.
