Draymond Green recently accused Karl-Anthony Towns of ducking former teammate Jimmy Butler when Towns didn’t play in the New York Knicks-Golden State Warriors game last Tuesday. As it turns out, Towns was out because he and his girlfriend Jordyn Woods lost a close friend due to cancer.

Green apologized for his distasteful comments about Towns. And after the New York Knicks lost 105-95 to the Los Angeles Clippers yesterday, Josh Hart commended Towns for his mental toughness.
“It’s tough. A lot of you guys forget we’re humans,” Hart said via ClutchPoints’ Tomer Azarly. “Or you guys look at us like we’re animals in a petting zoo or a parlay and y’all forget that we’re actual people, that we have real-life problems and traumas and things like that that we have to navigate.”

“We give him a lot of credit, we’re there for him, and I think everyone has to keep that in mind when they see things. People say stupid things when they don’t understand and… We’re humans,” he concluded.
Karl-Anthony Towns must step up as the New York Knicks alpha dog
Karl-Anthony Towns is the New York Knicks’ no. 1 option because Jalen Brunson is out for at least two weeks due to an ankle injury he sustained against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The five-time NBA All-Star led the New York Knicks with 23 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals on 8-for-21 shooting from the field against the Los Angeles Clippers last night.
Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, and OG Anunoby added 22, 14, and 11 points in the losing effort.
