The season is over for the New York Knicks. This is after Jalen Brunson and Co. suffered a devastating 130-109 blowout loss in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.
One of the worst parts of this gutting defeat is the fact that a capacity crowd in Madison Square Garden had to endure the embarrassment of having to lose in such heartbreaking fashion at home in the most important game of the season.
New York Knicks News: Jalen Brunson Addresses Fans After Game 7 Loss

Brunson, who left Sunday’s contest in the third quarter and was unable to return due to a fractured left hand, could not help but get emotional in his post-game press conference. The All-Star guard sent a message to the ever-faithful Knicks supporters after a truly painful loss:
“They have been nothing but amazing,” he said. “… I can’t really put into words what they mean to me… they deserve much more then what we were able to do this playoff run.”

That’s hard to hear, especially for Knicks fans who know that Brunson gave everything for his team, the organization, and the city in what was an undeniably memorable 2023-24 campaign.
In the end, however, the Knicks are still heading home with nothing to show for.

The silver lining for the New York faithful here is that Brunson isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The 27-year-old is locked in with the Knicks through 2026, which only means that he has at least two more years to redeem himself to the fans.
Interestingly enough, though, Brunson has a player option on his deal for the 2025-26 season, so unless he signs an extension this summer, the Knicks superstar could become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
