New York Knicks news: As expected, Jalen Brunson was not at all in a jovial mood in his post-game press conference following Sunday’s devastating Game 7 loss to the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden. The All-Star guard gave it his all, but he wasn’t even able to finish the game after being forced to exit in the third quarter due to a fractured left hand.

And now, it’s all over for the Knicks.

New York Knicks News: Jalen Brunson Does NOT Consider Season as a Success

As Brunson faced the media in his post-game interview, the 27-year-old was asked if he considered this past season to be a success for himself and the Knicks. The 6-foot-2 point guard got brutally honest in his response:

Jalen Brunson if he views this season as a success for the Knicks:

When asked to expound on his curt response, Brunson explained why this was how he views this past campaign in a straightforward manner:

“Did we win the championship? Did we get close? That’s my mindset, this is how it is,” he said.

Jalen Brunson was asked why he believes this season wasn't a successful one for the Knicks:

    He’s not wrong.

There’s no denying that Brunson is coming off the best season of his career, and the fact that he finished as one of the candidates for the Most Valuable Player title is a clear testament to this fact. However, this dude is all about the team, and at this point, it is clear that the individual accolades don’t mean much to him now that the Knicks have suffered a heartbreaking second-round exit.
