It is still too early in the 2024-25 NBA season to make any conclusion about any team. That being said, the New York Knicks are not making their fans happy.
The Knicks entered the season with a healthy forecast after winning 50 games in the last campaign. In addition, they added key weapons over the offseason with Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges arriving in the Big Apple.
But with only three wins after seven games, a stretch that includes back-to-back losses to the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks last Monday and Wednesday, respectively, the Knicks are left with pressure to start playing according to lofty preseason expectations.
Among those who are already worrying about the Knicks is NBA champion Kendrick Perkins.
“I have REAL CONCERNS about my Knicks!!!” posted Perkins on X (formerly Twitter) after New York’s 121-116 road loss to Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.
Can the New York Knicks get it together soon?
The Knicks’ leash may just be a little longer, as they are still finding their groove with the new players on the team but the losing can’t continue.
New York has issues to fix on both ends of the floor, as the team is just 17th in the league with an average of 13.3 points per game and 13th with 110.7 points allowed per contest.
The 3-4 Knicks will take on the also-struggling Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden next on Friday.
