Seattle Storm star Nika Muhl was stunned by the look of New York Liberty power forward Breanna Stewart a the 2025 Met Gala.

Over at Instagram, Nika Muhl shared to her story a photo of Breanna Stewart at the 2025 Met Gala. Stunned by her look, Muhl added a caption to her story to show her reaction.

    “Fire,” Muhl wrote.

Breanna Stewart made a bold and elegant statement at the 2025 Met Gala, embracing a refined yet powerful aesthetic. She arrived in a sleek white tuxedo ensemble, featuring a low-cut jacket, tailored wide-leg trousers, and a long overcoat with a dramatic train.

The structured silhouette emphasized Stewart’s commanding presence, while the monochrome palette added a timeless sophistication to her look. To complete the ensemble, she wore white square-toe boots and a crisp fedora, which added a modern edge to her outfit.

Her styling choices further elevated the look, with her retro-inspired short hair waves complementing the classic tailoring. Her makeup featured a Hollywood glam aesthetic, with a luminous complexion and subtle contouring that enhanced her natural features.

The overall effect was a seamless blend of vintage elegance and contemporary fashion, making Stewart one of the standout athletes at the event. Her outfit paid homage to The First Wives Club, a cult-classic film, which resonated with fans and fellow WNBA players alike.

Additionally, Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, who served as a Host Committee member, stunned in a Thom Browne outfit. Their attendance at the prestigious event highlighted the growing intersection between sports and fashion, showcasing the WNBA’s influence beyond the court.

Nika Muhl to Miss 2025 Season, Continue Recovery

Seattle Storm guard Nika Muhl has been officially placed on the suspended list, ruling her out for the entire 2025 WNBA season.

The decision comes after Muhl suffered a torn ACL while playing overseas for Besiktas, a Turkish club, in October 2024. The injury has required extensive rehabilitation, and the Storm determined that she would not be able to return in time for the upcoming season. Muhl, who was drafted 14th overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, played 16 games in her rookie season but saw limited minutes.

The Storm’s announcement also included the suspension of Jordan Horston, who suffered a similar ACL injury while competing in the Athletes Unlimited league in February 2025. With both players sidelined, Seattle will need to adjust its roster heading into training camp.

Despite the setback, Nika Muhl has been seen working on her recovery, even sporting Paige Bueckers’ signature shoes during a recent workout.
