UConn Huskies star player Paige Bueckers recently launched a partnership for promotion with ride-hailing company Uber, and some of her closest friends had a fun way of teasing her and her new ad campaign.
In her Instagram reel, Bueckers promoted Uber One for Students, a service that gives ride discounts for students and free delivery for groceries, all for a subscription of $4.99 a month.
Bueckers wrote, “#UberPartner As a student-athlete, #UberOneForStudents helps get me where I need to go during basketball season. Sign up for Uber One for Students and get one month free.”

“That was a short ride,” wrote Mühl.

Paige Bueckers to Appear in New Trading Card NIL Deal
UConn star and apparent WNBA draft first pick Paige Bueckers has a growing list of NIL deals, with one of the most recent being a deal to have her likeness and image in a trading card. Panini America, considered the largest sports collectibles company, signed a multi-year deal with Bueckers to produce and sell autographed trading cards of the female athlete.
The deal will have Bueckers “featured across Panini’s collegiate products, including Panini’s Instant Card platform, as well as several unique Panini marketing activations, including a product line specifically focused on the pioneers of the women’s game.”
“Paige is an incredible talent and one of the most accomplished, and influential players in the country, and we are excited to welcome her to the Panini family,” said Jason Howarth, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Athlete Relations for Panini America. “Our partnership with her is an exciting addition to our team of elite athletes, and we look forward to offering fans her products for years to come.”
Trading cards featuring someone’s likeness and image has been a part of the legacy of the most successful and popular athletes, and having the opportunity to have her own is huge for Bueckers.
“Growing up I used to collect cards of all my favorite players, to know that my teammates and I will have our own Panini trading cards and that fans are going to go collect it is really special,” Bueckers said. “I can’t wait to collaborate on projects that give collectors and fans more ways to celebrate our game.”
Paige Bueckers is currently playing he final college season with the UConn Huskies and is expected to be the first pick for the WNBA draft for the Dallas Wings.
