As the week begins and with March Madness not far away, basketball games are taking over sports networks. This week, I found players were sporting Nike G.T. Basketball shoes more than any other shoe.
Nike G.T. on Monday
Victor Wembanyama, center for the San Antonio Spurs was rocking a pair of Nike G.T. Hustle 3 Basketball shoes in blue playing against the Washington Wizards on Monday.

A knit mesh provides lightweight containment for movements, while ‘flywire’ cables provide a secure feel. Combined with Air Zoom cushioning on the bottom layer, it offers unbelievable energy return. This product was designed using recycled materials from post-consumer and/or post-manufactured waste. Nike created the ‘Move to Zero’ journey where they work towards zero carbon and zero waste.
Shooting guard for the Washington Wizards, Jordan Poole put in 16 points against the San Antonio Spurs in a pair of Nike G.T. Cut 3 in mint green.

This includes a full-length ZoomX foam that delivers Nike’s highest energy return and a smaller plastic plate on the pinky-toe side of the foot to help keep stable when making sudden movements. The Nike G.T. Cut 3 is typically sold for $190 and is available to the public in sea glass, hyper pink, light khaki, and smoke gray.
Tuesday’s Kicks
Joel Embiid from the Philadelphia 76ers rocked the only pair on today’s list that isn’t Nike G.T. Playing against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday in a pair of blue SKX Float.

These Sketcher Basketball shoes are designed for players who prefer more stability. They offer a molded collar with “HYPER BURST PRO” for breathability, responsive “HYPER BURST” cushioning, and durable Goodyear performance outsoles for enhanced traction. SKX Float is available for $99 in black, white, pink, navy, or red.
In a pair of purple Nike G.T. Jump 2 Basketball shoes, Karl-Anthony Towns, center for the New York Knicks scored 40 points against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.

These basketball shoes typically go for $180 and are available in two colors, hyper violet and oil green. Designed with three doses of Zoom Air to give more bounce off the floor and with Nike React foam in the heel for cushioning and comfort when landing suddenly.
Ariel Hukporti, also from the New York Knicks played for a total of six minutes in a pair of Nike G.T. Cut 3 ‘Jewel Loyd.’

The shoe comes fully equipped with everything a player needs to perform at a high level. The design of the shoe comes from Jewell Loyd, guard for the Las Vegas Aces, and her friendship with her best friend’s son, Justice. Loyd had Nike send a blank G.T. Cut 3 to Justice to let his creativity flow onto the iconic Nike basketball shoe.
