The MVP debate between Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should be over, and the MVP award should just be given to the Oklahoma City Thunder star. At least, this is what one analyst felt about the argument and with strong reasons.
In one of ther ecent episodes of “Fearless,” analyst Jay Skapinac joined Jason Whitlock in the discussion of this season’s MVP race. For Skapinac, the covnersation is over and the MVP award should just be handed over to SGA, as Jokic has no chance of getting it.
“It’s unequivocally over,” he said. “[It’s] Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, you could just shut it down. We don’t need to wait that long. We might as well just wrap it up right now, just give Shai do the MVP trophy tonight.”
However, he feels that way for an interesting reason.
“There was there was a pre-ordained movement to begin the season a anything-but-Jokic movement, in terms of the MVP,” he continued. “The writers simply don’t want to give it to this guy for a fourth time.”
“So literally they were grasping at straws when they entered the season please present us with anything any semblance of some storyline to allow us to not give it to Nicole Jokic and with the fact that the Thunder are going to win 69 or 70 games while I mean the nuggets are going to struggle to win 50, that’s all they needed.”

Boston Celtics Legends Make Case for Nikola Jokic as MVP
In a recent episode of the “KG Certified” podcast, Boston Celtics legends Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce go honest about their thoughts on the argument for Nikola Jokic getting this year’s MVP.
“This is going to be the best numbers in the history of the game to not get the MVP,” Pierce said of Jokic. “We ain’t ever gonna see nothing like this.”
“He out like here like Wilt like numbers,” Garnett added.
“How do you not give him the MVP dawg,” Pierce questioned. “He is the best player in the league. It’s not making sense right now dawg. Goddamn, 61, 10, and 10?”
“How does he not get it? That’s the crazy part about this,” Garnett said. “They’re going to have to go back into the rules, they’re going to have to go back in it and assess it dawg.”

Nikola Jokic has won three NBA MVP awards so far, achieving this remarkable feat in 2021, 2022, and 2024
