It is not as celebrated as it is in the other professional sports leagues like the NFL and MLB, but a division title in the NBA is still an accomplishment worth celebrating. The Oklahoma City Thunder did just that with a simple post about it on social media.
“Division Champions for the 7th time. Second most division titles in the NBA over the last 15 years ⚡”
The Bolts posted that after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers, 133-100, Wednesday night at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. With that victory, the Thunder not only improved their record to 57-12 but secured another Northwest Division title.
The Thunder missed the services of some of their key players in the 76ers game, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Isaiah Hartenstein and Jalen Williams all taking a rest due to injuries. Nevertheless, Oklahoma City found a way to coast to an easy win.

Banged-up Oklahoma City Thunder easily demolish 76ers

Aaron Wiggins led Oklahoma City in scoring with 26 points while Isaiah Joke had 21 points with five 3-pointers. Jaylin Williams had a memorable evening, as he put together a triple-double performance, scoring 19 points, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists.
Chet Holmgren added 19 points and seven rebounds for the Thunder, who have already clinched a playoff berth and have the top seed in the Western Conference virtually in the bag.
Oklahoma City is leading the rest of the Western Conference by 13.5 games and with just 13 contests left to play on their 2024-25 NBA regular season schedule.
Up next for the Thunder is a matchup against the lottery-bound Charlotte Hornets on Friday at home.
