Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams didn’t have a filter when he gave his feedback to Alex Caruso’s putback dunk attempt. On Tuesday, the Thunder played against the Memphis Grizzlies for Game 2 of their first-round series. OKC secured a 2-0 lead with a commanding 118-99 victory before they head to Tennessee for Game 3.
During the game, the undrafted guard tried to relive his youth by attempting a putback dunk. However, Caruso missed terribly and Williams had something to say to him while on the bench.
You’re so godd**n old,” Williams said as he laughed at his veteran teammate at the bench.
After that, J-Dub had a piece of advice for Caruso whenever a putback opportunity comes up.

“All you gotta do is lay it up. If you can’t dunk, lay it up.
“Not gonna lie, I didn’t know how far I was from the goal,” Caruso responded.
Williams, however, had the last jab at the end.
“Honestly, you just kinda timed it a little off. You timed that perfectly to miss.”

Caruso is the oldest player in the young Thunder team as he turned 30 years old in February. For a while, the former Los Angeles Lakers guard was the same age as Kenrich Williams, making them the two oldest players on the roster.
J-Dub played a great game against the Grizzlies. He finished with 24 points, six rebounds and five assists on 52.6 percent shooting from the field. He helped his All-Star teammate, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had 27 points on a lowly 34.5 percent shooting clip. The veteran guard, Caruso, came off the bench and had 13 points and three steals.
Williams talks about the mindset of the Oklahoma City Thunder in the series

The Oklahoma City Thunder did not relax in Game 2 after beating Memphis by a 51-point margin in Game 1. It was the fifth-largest margin of victory in the NBA playoffs.
Even with that achievement, Oklahoma City asserted dominance against its opponent. After the game, Williams talked about the team’s mindset coming into the second game of the best-of-seven series.
“You gotta understand your opponent, they’re coming off probably 36 hours before,” Williams said. “So, we know we’re going to get a better look. They’re actually a really good team, they’ve had a hell of a season. We’re coming in with that mindset that we’re playing a hungrier version of them & we’re gonna keep that mindset for Game 3.”

Game 3 will be on Thursday with Memphis as the home team. The Grizzlies are pressured to avoid getting swept and get a win on their home floor. The Thunder, on the other hand, is determined to continue their winning ways to advance to the next round.
