Luguentz Dort recently revealed the playoff opponent that struck the most fear into the Oklahoma City Thunder en route to winning an NBA championship this year.
According to the Oklahoma City Thunder swingman, it was the Denver Nuggets who had them nervous in the Western Conference semifinals, so he was relieved when they beat them to advance to the next round and eventually won it all.
“Denver Nuggets was the one that had us shaking a little bit,” Dort said on NBA Today. “They won before. They’ve been in those kinds of positions. They did a great job as well responding.”
For ESPN’s Danny Green, the defining moment for the Oklahoma City Thunder was when they trailed by double digits against the Indiana Pacers during the second half of Game 4. In that match, they avoided a 3-1 hole as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 15 of the team’s final 16 points in a big comeback victory on the road.

After spending his entire NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder franchise, Nick Collison transitioned to a front office role, working with general manager Sam Presti. Following their championship run, Collison penned a letter to the team’s ardent supporters.
“This team is special. Enjoy these players. They battle for each other and always do the right thing for the team. I’m happy they are getting to experience all of this,” Collison posted on Instagram. “Shout out to (Wiggins) and (Isaiah Hartenstein) for the love on parade day! That was totally unnecessary but meant the world to me and my people.”
“I’m so happy for Oklahoma City. I will never forget celebrating with you all. So much joy in the streets. The building was electric for those games,” he continued. “The city has been with us since day 1. You earned that parade! Can’t wait to see you all again next year!”
