The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered a huge injury blow ahead of their huge clash against the Boston Celtics, as Jalen Williams is ruled out due to a strained hip.

Williams sustained the injury against the Denver Nuggets last Monday after taking a tumble in the second period and Peyton Watson landed on him. He stayed in the game for another 57 seconds before heading to the locker room and calling it a night.
The first-time NBA All-Star finished the match with 12 points, two rebounds, and six assists on 5-for-10 shooting from the field in 14 minutes.

His injury is not considered serious, but the Oklahoma City Thunder aren’t taking any chances with the playoffs approaching.
Oklahoma City Thunder’s role players must step up
With Jalen Williams out, the Oklahoma City Thunder will likely lean on Cason Wallace, Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Joe, Alex Caruso, and Luguentz Dort to pick up the slack.

Caruso and Wallace had 13 and 12 points off the bench against the Denver Nuggets, while Dort finished the game as the Oklahoma City Thunder’s top scorer with 26 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and eight three-pointers on 9-for-16 shooting from the field.
“I just gotta shoot with confidence. I put a lot of work in it,” Dort said about his hot shooting night against the Denver Nuggets via Brandon Rahbar the Daily Thunder.
