Notre Dame Fighting Irish point guard Olivia Miles got the vote of anonymous WNBA general managers as one of the top draft picks, in one ranking report.
In a ranking report by The Athletic, several anonymous general managers of WNBA teams took their pick from the current college stars that they believe would be top draft picks for the 2025 WNBA draft. While UConn Huskies star Paige Bueckers remains to be the top prospect for the overall first pick for the draft, Notre Dame’s Olivia Miles comes in as a close second.
One GM said: “The second safest pick after Paige.”
Another one said: “She’s definitely an exceptional passer. Her court vision in small spaces as well as full court is really, really special.”
Said one more: “Big fan, especially if the shooting can continue to be where it’s at. I love the wiggle she has in her game. She’s got great feel, she’s got great change of pace. I love the combination of dribble, pass, shoot. I love her size at point guard. I think she can also probably play on and off the ball.”
Another GM stated: “Incredibly dynamic. One of the best scorers I’ve seen in many years. At times, she’s taken out of the end of games defensively, but I think the defensive end is where she still has room to grow. Offensively, an absolute dynamo.”

Notre Dame Sophomore Praises Olivia Miles as a Draftee
Olivia Miles is one of the big names expected to be part of the 2205 WNBA Draft. When asked about how she would rank her teammates as draftees, Notre Dame sophomore Hannah Hidalgo refuses to, stating that both Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron are “dogs” in their own ways.
“I think that they are dogs; that they are going to fight, and whatever position you put them in, there’s not going to be any complaining or arguing. They are going to have to go and do what they have to do,” Hidalgo said.
“They are hard-nosed and put in the work and are going to get better. The sky is the limit for them. They don’t have a cap on their talent level. They can always improve and get better, and they are so versatile and, especially with the length they have got, they can do so much. They are great draftees.”

Olivia Miles, unfortunately, ended her March Madness journey prematurely due to an ankle injury sustained during the first-round game against Stephen F. Austin. She averaged 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.
