Paige Bueckers’ career-high performance in the recent NCAA second-round matchup between her UConn Huskies and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, was recently hailed as one of her best by basketball analyst Rebecca Lobo. In an interview on ESPN with Malika Andrews, Lobo had nothing but praise for Bueckers, calling the 23-year-old player ‘absolutely unguardable.’
On Sunday, the Connecticut Huskies locked horns with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits and won the game with a final score 91-57, making their way to the Sweet 16 round this weekend. In that game, Paige Bueckers managed to chalk up 36 points, the highest in her career so far.
“Coach Auriemma at the beginning of the season called Paige Bueckers the most unguardable player in America and she looked like that yesterday. She came out looking to score. At times, she’s been criticized for being too unselfish. She wasn’t that yesterday. She never celebrated herself on her made field goals but how about on this play, the one time she has the assist there, she just loses it. She’s a great teammate. Her teammates love playing with her.” Rebecca Lobo said to Malika Andrews.
