Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers stole the attention of people during the 20925 WNBA Draft not only for being the NO. 1 overall pick but also for her fashion—from her choice of style for her top down to her nails.
As she turned heads with her look for the 2025 WNBA Draft, Paige Bueckers also got praise for her nails for the event, as celebrity stylist Brittany Hampton gushed over Bueckers’ nails for her WNBA draft outfit.
Hampton posted on her story a photo of Bueckers’ nails for the event, adding in her take on the style.
“The cat eye nails by @nailsbymei def stole the show!!” Hampton’s Instagram story read.
Paige Bueckers made a stunning fashion statement at the 2025 WNBA Draft orange carpet event, showcasing her evolving style and star power. She wore a custom three-piece suit by Coach, adorned with 200,000 crystals that sparkled under the lights. The suit featured flared pants and an oversized blazer, creating a bold yet elegant silhouette. Bueckers paired the outfit with a black Coach bag featuring a striking gold chain, along with pearl jewelry and platform loafers, completing the look with a touch of sophistication.

Her attention to detail extended to her nails, which were styled in a dark gray cat-eye chrome design by nail artist Mei Kawajiri. Celebrity stylist Brittany Hampton highlighted the nails as a standout feature, adding an extra layer of brilliance to her ensemble.
Dallas Wings Front Office Excited to Have Paige Bueckers
In a statement to reporters after drafting Paige Bueckers, Dallas Wings general manager Curt Miller expressed the franchise’s excitement about having the UConn legend under their roster.
“Very early on, it was Paige and Paige only,” Miller said. “She’s such a special player.”
“What we’ve seen No. 1 picks do to franchises around the league, it is something truly special, the trajectory of your team, the momentum that it brings,” Miller added. “Paige will do it in her own way, and her efficiency, her unselfishness, her ability to take over when needed, I think you’re going to see her really impact this franchise.”

Paige Bueckers, so far, is the sixth UConn player to be drafted No. 1 to the WNBA. Others include legends like Sue Bird in 2002, Diana Taurasi in 2004, Tina Charles in 2010, Maya Moore in 2011, and Breanna Stewart in 2016. During her career with UConn, Bueckers averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
