Over at her Instagram page, UConn freshman Morgan Cheli celebrated her first championship with the Huskies, sharing photos of her with her teammates, holding the cup, and wearing the net. Her senior, Paige Bueckers, also dropped by the comment section.

As a freshman, Morgan Cheli faced a tough introduction to collegiate basketball, averaging 2.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 13.3 minutes per game. Her season was cut short due to ankle surgery in February, limiting her ability to make a significant impact. Despite these setbacks, Cheli demonstrated adaptability by taking on both frontcourt and backcourt responsibilities, showcasing her potential for future growth.
Paige Bueckers delivered a stellar performance in what became a storybook ending to her college career. She led UConn to a national championship, averaging 24.8 points, 4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.8 steals per game during the NCAA Tournament.

Her ability to consistently deliver under pressure, including three 30+ point games, highlighted her exceptional talent and leadership. Bueckers’ achievements not only solidified her legacy at UConn but also positioned her as the likely first pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft
Paige Bueckers Drops Big WNBA Tease
Fans of Paige Buekers and her iconic double braid hair may soon say goodbye to her iconic look, as the future WNBA star dropped a huge hint of a new look to go with the new chapter of her basketball career.

In an interview with Nightly Kids, Bueckers was asked by kid correspondent Joaquin about whether she plans to keep her iconic braids for the WNBA days or not.
“Most of [your] fans are young girls with hair the same way as yours, the iconic double braid,” the kid reporter asked. “Do you think you’re going to keep the same hairstyle or change it in the WNBA?”
“I think it’s time for a switch up,” Bueckers responded. “The braids, they had a good run, and so I might switch it up now.”

For over 121 games played all for the UConn Huskies, Paige Bueckers averaged 19.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game throughout her career. Her shooting efficiency was remarkable, with a field goal percentage of 53.4%, a three-point percentage of 42.7%, and a free throw percentage of 84.9%.
